Germany Job Seeker Pathway & Permanent Residency (PR) for Sri Lankans

Germany offers excellent career opportunities and a clear pathway to Permanent Residency (PR) for skilled professionals from Sri Lanka.

If you secure a job offer from a German employer, you may qualify for the EU Blue Card. This residence permit allows highly skilled professionals to live and work in Germany while enjoying attractive salary and career benefits.


Special Eligibility for the below category:

1. BSc Degree holders in Computer Science, IT, AI and Robotics.
2. Diploma and Degree holders in Healthcare (Doctors and Nurses)

Visa:

  1. 1 Year Stay in Germany
  2. Renewable with employment offer

Requirements:

  1. Recognized degree or vocational qualification
  2. Proof of health insurance and accommodation
  3. Refundable desposit of Approx 13,000 EUR

Family

Family is not allowed to travel with the applicant unless spouse is applying for same visa. Family can travel on a family reunification visa later.

Career pathway and PR opportunities

You may obtain your EU blue card with a Job offer. After 4 years you are eligible to apply for the PR.
EU Blue Card holders may be eligible for permanent residency after 21–33 months depending on German language proficiency; Skilled Worker visa holders typically after 4 years.

How to Apply

  1. Register with WAAZ — book an appointment or send documents via WhatsApp/email.
  2. Verification of Documents for visa eligiblity
  3. Apply for Opportunity Card
  4. Deposit into Block Account
  5. Recognition of Qualifications, where required.
  6. Visa interview at the German Embassy/Consulate.
  7. Visa approval, book tickets and prepare for departure.
  8. Departure, arrival in Germany, and local registration (Anmeldung) on arrival.
