Intake

PG admissions for AY 2026-27 opened on 20th November and are merit-based, on a rolling first-come-first-served basis.

A Software Technology Aptitude Test (STAT) is mandatory for M.Sc. (AI & Intelligent Systems) admission - 50% weight from STAT and 50% from qualifying degree marks.

Classes are tentatively scheduled to begin in the second week of July 2026 (exact dates communicated during the admission process).

Sri Lankan and other foreign/NRI applicants must also register on the Government of India's "Study in India" portal (studyinindia.gov.in) in addition to AIMIT's own application.

Requirements

Candidates must hold one of the following Bachelor's degrees from a recognised university (or an equivalent qualification), with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates), excluding Languages and Group III subjects:

  • Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
  • B.Sc. with Computer Science / Computer Applications (Vocational) / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics / Electronics / Instrumentation as a major, optional or subsidiary subject
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science / Computer Systems / Information Science / Information Systems
  • Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) - Integrated Course
  • Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) or Bachelor of Information Science (BIS)
  • B.E. / B.Tech (any branch)

Programme Duration

2 years (4 semesters), full-time, on-campus at AIMIT, Beeri, Kotekar, Mangalore.

Examination fees are charged separately each semester. Year 2 fees may differ slightly from Year 1 - confirm current rates with AIMIT before quoting students.

  1. Register with WAAZ - book an appointment or send documents via WhatsApp/email.
  2. We help complete your online application on AIMIT's portal (aimit.edu.in/apply-online) and register you on India's "Study in India" portal (studyinindia.gov.in), required for all foreign/NRI applicants.
  3. Sit the Software Technology Aptitude Test (STAT) - conducted online; schedule communicated by AIMIT via SMS/email/WhatsApp.
  4. Receive your offer/admission letter on selection (merit-based, rolling admissions).
  5. Pay the Year 1 tuition fee to confirm your seat.
  6. Apply for an Indian Student Visa at the Indian High Commission/Consulate (or e-Student Visa where eligible) - we'll guide you on the required documents.
  7. Visa approval, book tickets and prepare for departure.
  8. Departure and arrival in Mangalore; complete local registration (FRRO/FRO if required) and hostel check-in.
